A highlight of Melbourne Art Fair 2010 will be the Melbourne Art Foundation 2010 Commission. The artwork will be exhibited in the Royal Exhibition Building from 4 to 8 August 2010.
Melbourne Art Foundation is delighted to announce that this year leading Australian artist Jon Campbell will realise a monumental work for Melbourne Art Fair 2010. At the conclusion of the Fair, the Foundation will gift the work to an Australian public art institution, to ensure that the Commission gets a whole lotta love beyond Melbourne Art Fair 2010.
The recipient of this gift will be revealed during the Fair.
The Melbourne Art Foundation sponsors the creation of a major new artwork or works for exhibition at the biennial Melbourne Art Fair.
The Melbourne Art Foundation Commission provides a significant opportunity to a living artist to realise a large-scale work for Melbourne Art Fair.
